What is a trust?What is a Trust?

A trust is a legal arrangement where assets are transferred to someone else (‘trustees’) to be used for a particular purpose and to benefit specific people (‘beneficiaries’).

A Trust can be set up while you are alive or it can be included as part of your Will, which means that the Trust will only start after your death.
